Power Line: Disengagement, American-style?
Sure looks like it to me. If this is what they are saying then they have gone further away from the conservative ideals they profess. We should not legitimize the terrorist state led by hamas in any way shape or form. Congress’s reaction to break ties is exactly what is called for. Captain’s Quarter’s has a perfect perspective on this.

A new provision tucked into the Patriot Act bill now before Congress would allow authorities to haul demonstrators at any “special event of national significance” away to jail on felony charges if they are caught breaching a security perimeter.
Sen. Arlen Specter , R-Pa., chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, sponsored the measure, which would extend the authority of the Secret Service to allow agents to arrest people who willingly or knowingly enter a restricted area at an event, even if the president or other official normally protected by the Secret Service isn’t in attendance at the time.

Under current law, the Secret Service can arrest anyone for breaching restricted areas where the president or a protected official is or will be visiting, but the new provision would allow such arrests even after those VIPs have left the premises of any designated “special event of national significance.” The provision would increase the maximum penalty for such an infraction from six months to one year in jail.
Now with powerline, the captain’s quarters..among other fellow conservative bloggers pushing for renewal..how can they continue to do this when stuff like this is found? Wake ya’ll. You are being taken for a ride by the republicrats and demopublicans. I am curious if they simply can’t see or don’t want to see?
Well my wife has a double ear infection plus a headcold..i caught her head cold and our daughter i think caught it too..:( My wife’s ear infections are proving resistant to normal anti-biotics. Keep us in your prayers that we can all get healed..soon..:)
I apologize. Wordpress 2.0 is a nightmare of bugs. Trackbacks don’t work hardly at all among other things. The forums are alight with problems. Unfortunatly there’s no way to go back to the older version. Posts here will be lean as i can’t link to other blogs if trackbacks don’t work so it will be jsut when i ahve something personal to post. I’ll let everyone know when wordpress decides to get the bugs fixed.
